Spirit Saddle & Tack, LLC offers fully paid 5-day trials on all saddles to prospective customers within the USA. The purpose and ultimate goal of my 5-day trial period is to ensure that you (and your horse) are happy with your saddle purchase. All international orders are final sale only.

The 5-day trial begins the day after the saddle is delivered to you. If you decide to return the saddle, you must notify me that the saddle is being returned (through an email or text). This written communication must be sent before or upon completion of the 5-day trial. On the sixth day, the saddle becomes your property.

The customer will not hold Spirit Saddle & Tack, LLC liable for any safety defects of the saddle. All saddles are new, unless noted as preowned. All saddles (even new saddles) are carefully evaluated to the very best of my ability. Any defect found immediately after opening and unboxing the saddle must be reported to me with urgency (either text or email). I offer a 5-day trial so that you have the opportunity to check over the saddles either yourself or with a trainer or another saddle fitter. Please refer to the product listing of the saddle. All photos are taken in optimum lighting to bring to light any existing conditions on preowned/used saddles. All measurements are in the product listing of the saddle and documented in my photos. Please contact me for additional pictures of the saddle.

You are responsible for the safekeeping of the saddle until the end of the trial period or until the saddle is received back at Spirit Saddle & Tack. The saddle should be stored safely in a climate-controlled environment, free from animals that may create any type of damage. Store the saddle on a padded saddle rack and out of inclement weather when not trying it out with your horse!

Breeches without silicone on the seat must be worn when riding all english, leather seated, saddles (not jeans). The only exception is granted to Western saddle riders (who can wear jeans, but should ensure that all personal items are removed from back pockets to avoid scratching the saddle's leather). Protective cloth (e.g. socks) must be on stirrup leathers when riding in the saddle. Do NOT use vet wrap.

If the saddle is lost or stolen after delivery, the sale is considered final and you are responsible for the full purchase price of the saddle. If the saddle is damaged in any way -- blemished, marked, scratched, stained, dinged, dented, scuffed, shows excessive wear on any part of the saddle, has torn leather, or has a broken tree -- you will be responsible for repair or depreciation cost (whichever is less). Any saddle returned with damage so extreme as to make it unsaleable, will become your property at the full purchase price.

If you plan on returning the saddle, please clean it thoroughly with ONLY warm water and a non-abrasive cloth (such as a soft microfiber). Do NOT apply cleaning products of any kind, as they could potentially damage and/or stain the saddle. If the saddle comes back to me excessively dirty (and requires extensive cleaning) there will be a cleaning fee of $200.

If you decide to return the saddle, you must notify me (by email or text) that the saddle is to be returned and pack it back in the same shipping box and shipping materials sent to you. It is your responsibility to protect the saddle with proper packaging to ensure return shipping will not cause damage to the saddle. If the shipping materials sent to you are not sufficient to repackage the saddle, the following packing materials are appropriate: old towels, bubble wrap, foam pieces. Do NOT use additional paper or cardboard pieces to further package the saddle (it can damage the saddle during S&H). Please don't use packing peanuts (they make a miserable mess). You are also responsible for the cost of shipping it back to me (and for the insurance for declared value). I DO NOT COME TO PICK UP SADDLES THAT YOU ARE RETURNING. THE SADDLE MUST BE SHIPPED ON THE DAY AFTER YOUR TRIAL ENDS OR $50 PER DAY IS DEDUCTED FROM THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT WILL BE RETURNED ONCE THE SADDLE IS CONFIRMED TO BE IN THE SAME SHAPE AS IT WAS WHEN THE TRIAL STARTED.

Once I receive the saddle (in the event you decide to return the saddle) and confirm that it is in the same condition in which it left, I'll contact you within 1 business day to consider next steps or to arrange your refund. There is no restocking fee if you have used Venmo to pay. However, if you paid using any other method (such as PayPal Goods & Services, Venmo Purchase Protection or standard credit cards through the site), there will be a restocking fee of $25.

If you are within traveling distance of me in Temple, Pennsylvania, take advantage of our proximity to one another and schedule a saddle fitting with me. I'd love to meet you and your horse. But, if it's just not practical, this is the other way to go.

If you don't notify me within the 5-day trial period of your desire to return the saddle, the saddle becomes your property.

Once I get the saddle back and confirm that it is in the same condition in which it left, I'll contact you within 1 business day to consider next steps or to arrange your refund.

Please see my Saddle Trial Agreement for more details around any excessive wear & tear, damage, excessive dirtiness, etc. that should happen to the saddle while it is out on trial. The conditions of the trial agreement are also contained within my Terms & Conditions, to which you'll be required to agree before you can place an order.

In the event you return the saddle at the end of the 5-day trial, there is no restocking fee if you have used Venmo to pay. However, if you paid using any other method (such as PayPal Goods & Services, Venmo Purchase Protection or standard credit cards through the site), there will be a minimal restocking fee of 4%.
