Going in the right direction with your saddle search?

Considering a new or used saddle but would like a professional opinion?

This service came about from frequent client requests to look at a specific saddle for sale and offer advice as to whether or not it could possibly fit their horse-rider team. It should be clear that even a professional fitter does not possess such clairvoyance based on a virtual evaluation alone. So, although I am happy to give such advice if requested, I am also equally and brutally honest that such a virtual evaluation absolutely does NOT pass a saddle for fit. This is a quick evaluation (via pictures) for straightness, balance and possibility of fit.

I repeat... POSSIBILITY of fit. Only when I do a saddle fitting evaluation in person can I determine if it's truly a good fit (or not) for you and your horse.

So why even offer this service? Because there are a lot of saddles for sale out there, and a lot of time is involved in determining whether or not it's worth it to financially invest in a potential saddle and take the saddle out for trial. And, make a timely saddle fitting appointment once it arrives to your doorstep. And cross your fingers it actually works as hoped. And not get too deflated if it doesn't. And then send it back in time... in the same condition it arrived to you. There are many moving pieces that must go right in a narrow time window. So, that's why it's helpful to get this virtual evaluation up front... to confirm it's worth trying.
